Echinacea purpurea leaf & root, Echinacea angustifolia root,Ginger root (Zingiber officinalis), grain alcohol 60%, spring water. Strength 1:5.
Formulated for those to whom goldenseal – in the original Nip it in the Bud formula – is contraindicated; i.e. pregnant women (or anyone preferring ginger). The ginger does double duty here if stomach queasiness is a problem too.
Works best when started at the first signs of infection (scratchy throat, etc.). Echinacea boosts white cell count to help resist infection; ginger is used here instead of goldenseal and contains antibacterial/antiviral properties.*
Suggested Use: Shake well. Add 2-4 "squirts" (what comes up in one draw of the dropper - it will not be full; approximately 15 drops per "squirt") to a bit of warm water and drink, preferably at first sign of symptoms. Repeat every couple of hours until symptoms begin to improve, then stretch dose out to 3-4 times daily as needed.
Precautions: Use Echinacea with caution if you are allergic to ragweed.
