A blend of botanicals formulated to ease headache in women.*
When it comes to migraine, I use a protocol with my clients that involves increasing cellular energy - adenosine triphosphate (ATP). When "mitochondrial energy" is optimum, a prostaglandin is produced that normalizes vasodilation, resulting in a profound effect. For this purpose I recommend mitochondrial-health-enhancing nutrients, choosing from among various forms of carnitine, magnesium, lipoic acid, riboflavin, NADH, ribose, taurine etc. Progesterone actually increases cellular energy by causing a more rapid "bursting" of energy as the third molecule of adenosine triphosphate fires off to become adenosine diphosphate. This is, in my informed opinion, the mechanism behind "hormonal migraine." Chastetree berry in this formula increases progesterone to a certain degree, and while men also make progesterone, Chastetree is contraindicated in men. Men should use "Headache Relief," which is also safe ffor children.
This is an excellent "non-migraine" headache formula. For true migraine, I would advise my client a specific regimen comprised of some of the above-mentioned nutrients and others, such as fish oil and Vitamin D3. I would then use this formula as a powerful botanical "kick." Skullcap relaxes the muscles influencing the tension aspect of things and reduces stress. Rhodiola rosea also influences cellular energy in a positive way, and the remaining feverfew, holy basil, peppermint, Rooibos, and lavender have all been recognized for their effects in relieving headache pain.
Suggested Use: Shake well. Add 2-6 ml (about 15 drops per ml) to a small amount of warm water and drink 3-4 times daily or as needed.
