Product Description
Artichoke leaf (Cynara scolymus), Ginger root (Zingiber officinalis), Bilberry leaf & fruit(Vaccinium myrtillus), Acai berry (Euterpe oteracea), Alfalfa leaf & herb, (Medicago sativa), Fenugreek seed (Trigonella foenum-graecum). Grain alcohol 60%, spring water. Strength 1:5.
Supporting blood lipid balance; does not interrupt healthy cholesterol function.
For a more synergistic cardiovascular support, may combine with "Healthy Heart" and/or "Circulate," and/or our "Anti-Inflammatory Formula."
If more than one formula is used, doses of each may be lessened, or formulas may be alternated throughout day. These are "tonic" formulas and so intended for long-term benefit; therefore, large doses frequently spaced are not necessary, as is the case when a formula is used for an acute onset of illness (for example, using "Nip it in the Bud" when cold symptoms strike). More important is consistency with smaller doses spaced throughout the day 2-4 times.
REBECCA SPEAKS: Anyone who knows me knows my view on the bad "rep" cholesterol has in the press! Cholesterol is the hormone from which other hormones are spun; not only sex hormones, but adrenal gland hormones, and more (such as Vitamin D3 - not a vitamin at all but a hormone!). Cholesterol actually comprises a very small percentage of arterial plaque, but there is a great deal of misinformation when it comes to this subject. Because cholesterol is required for producing adrenal gland hormones, and because the thyroid plays a major role in regulating cholesterol levels, higher levels can be an indication of low thyroid function or stress. More important, in my opinion, is to address these concerns and let cholesterol levels even out naturally. The so-called "bad" LDL cholesterol is actually a potent infection fighter; higher cholesterol may indicate an underlying infectious process.
However, for those who want to balance lipids while NOT artificially lowering them to arbitrary numbers, this plant combination may be helpful.
Suggested Use: Shake well. Add 2-4 "squirts" (what comes up in one draw of the dropper - it will not be full; approximately 15 drops per "squirt") to a bit of warm water and drink 3-4 times daily as needed.
Take one day off out of each seven for enhanced overall response.
Precautions: Many herbs have not been studied for safety during pregnancy. Many medicinal plants contain natural blood-thinning properties, so use with caution if using blood-thinning medications.
