Product Description
Ginger root and Artichoke leaf have been studied in a standardized extract formula to hasten gastric emptying. This means moving the stomach contents to the small intestine more quickly. Too little stomach acid at mealtime can result in poor digestion at the stomach level, which the small intestine doesn't like, so it doesn't want to open up the "door" to let the stomach contents in. Since up to 99% of nutrients are absorbed into the body through the small intestine, not only will a slowed emptying of stomach contents leave you with indigestion, it will delay the uptake of nutrients from your food, from most nutritional supplements, and even medicines.*
Contains: Ginger root (Zingiber officinalis), Artichoke leaf (Cynara scolymus) - grain alcohol 60%, spring water - Strength 1:5
Suggested Use: Add 2-4 droppers (will not be full - whatever comes up in one draw of the dropper) to a bit of water and drink just before meals.
Precautions: Many herbs have not been studied for safety during pregnancy, but this formula looks fine. Many medicinal plants contain natural blood-thinning properties, so use with caution if using blood-thinning medications.
